Star Wars: Epic Duels is a board and card game published by Hasbro in 2002. It didn't sell well in its initial run, but has since gained a cult following online.
Galactic Battles is a complete set of custom decks designed by Mike Maloney to support 2v2 tournament play. The characters often have highly specialized roles, but are intended to be roughly balanced with one another. The set emphasizes strategy, communication, and teamwork.

About the Designer
My uncle introduced me to Epic Duels upon release and I quickly fell in love with the game.
I discovered the modding community for it in early 2008 and started making my own stuff shortly thereafter.
These days, I'm the creative director at AmeriTreasure Games. We're currently working on a team-based tactical card game full of vibrant characters. Sort of The Iliad in space. We're at least a year out from release, but if you like the stuff on this site, watch this space!
I'm also a senior designer at Ghost Story Games (formerly Irrational Games) working on an unannounced title. I can't say much about that one yet, but we're a small team with big ambitions. Designing for it has been an amazing experience.
I previously worked on the balance team for the multiplayer online battle arena, Infinite Crisis. That, along with my experience with collectable card games, probably informs my Epic Duels design more than anything else.
I hope you have some fun with the decks and I can't believe this community is still going strong over twenty years after the game's release! The internet is wild.

Acknowledgments
Special thanks to Corey Andalora for creating the Deck Designer program that I use to bring all of my decks to life and to Tom Baumbach, Veronica Condrin, Rich Kester, Brian Winkleblech, Glenn Sutula, Nathan Zakahi, Zoltan Kiraly, Robert Uram, Patrick Kolehouse, Peter Hurford, Noah Bradtke-Litwack, Carla Ramirez, Alex Fults-Ganey, and many others for helping me playtest my decks!
Thanks to Sultan of Dorkistan, Darth Trumpetus, Roman Farraday, and many other custom Epic Duels designers for inspiration to get involved with this weird hobby in the first place.
Additional thanks to Discord users Darth Wolverine, JAG18, umondy, CRFR787, Geektopia Games, and others for inspiring me to revisit this project so many years later!
Big thanks to BMLDesigns and isutton007 for doing the graphic design on the Legacy expansion decks!
And of course, thanks to Craig Van Ness, Rob Daviau, and everyone else who worked on the original game. This would be a very nonsensical website without the game you made.
