Jabba the Hutt is a crime lord who tries to avoid open confrontation as much as possible. He relies on his vast wealth and influence to win his battles and his deck directly represents this. My Jabba deck has two distinct mechanics: using his wealth (in the form of cards) to “buy” an edge over opponents and using his expendable supply of guards to ensure that his enemies take damage. His first theme is fleshed out in Smuggling Ring, Weak-minded Fool, and There Will Be No Bargain. Smuggling Ring and Weak-minded Fool help Jabba gain a card advantage over opponents and There Will Be No Bargain helps him to exploit this advantage to leave an enemy defenseless. Weak-minded Fool, Rancor Pit, Hutt Regeneration, and Hired Muscle allow Jabba to “spend” his Gamorrean Guards to push through significant damage and to get back some health. Hutt Regeneration can heal a massive 6 damage, but is harder to maximize than one might expect because Jabba can’t always kill off his own guards and opponents are unlikely to waste resources by killing them.
