Getting Started with Online Epic Duels
There are two things you need to play Epic Duels online: VASSAL and TeamSpeak 3.
To use VASSAL:
1. Create a new folder somewhere to hold all of your VASSAL materials.
2. Create two sub-folders and place them in the folder you just created. Name one "SWEpicDuels2-3_ext" and the other "SWED3-2_ext".
3. Download the VASSAL engine here: http://www.vassalengine.org/download.php
4. Download the Epic Duels Versions 2.3 and 3.2 modules here: http://www.vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:Star_Wars:_Epic_Duels
5. Place both modules in the original folder you created.
6. Download any extension decks you like from this site. Do not unzip the files. Place the 2.3 versions in the folder you named SWEpicDuels2-3_ext and place the 3.2 versions in the folder you named SWED3-2_ext.
7. Install and run VASSAL.
8. Select Open Module from the File drop-down menu. Select either the 2.3 or 3.2 module.
9. Start an offline game and play with friends on the same terminal or start an online game and synchronize to the player setting up the game.
To use TeamSpeak 3:
1. Download the TeamSpeak 3 Client here: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads
2. Install and run TeamSpeak 3.
3. Select Connections then Connect from the drop-down menu. Enter "74.109.240.205:9988" into the Address box and type your name into the Nickname box. Leave the Password box empty. Click Connect.
4. To play a casual game, you can create a temporary channel and invite friends to join you. To play a tournament game, enter the Epic Duels Lobby by entering the appropriate password. The password for the tournament lobby will be given out as needed.
