Since the Complete Circle decks have been so well-received, I've decided to add another classic character to the Galactic Battles set: Jedi Sha'a Gi!
Sha'a Gi is the cautious padawan of Master Daakman Barrek and fights with much trepidation in the Clone Wars.
He "fights" alongside Ki-Adi-Mundi, Shaak Ti, and Aayla Secura at the Battle of Hypori, where his incredible ability to completely lose his mind under pressure led to his untimely demise in a memorable duel with General Grievous.
In designing Sha'a Gi's deck, I wanted to capture his signature "look before you leap" style. The wary Padawan needed a new mechanic to convey his mental state- the key to his combat! For that I settled on Panic Counters, which the he generates much like The Exile's Light and Dark Counters. Feast your eyes on the circumspect Jedi!
Sha'a Gi - 16 HP - Red Deck - Melee
Clone Troopers - 4 HP - Weak Deck - Ranged
Ahhh!
D0
Any time a character ends its movement and can attack Sha'a Gi, you may discard this card. If you do, move Sha'a Gi up to 2 spaces and Sha'a Gi gains a Panic Counter.
We Can't Face Him
D2
Move Sha'a Gi to any empty space along the Light Side or Dark Side edge of the board. Sha'a Gi gains a Panic Counter.
This is the End
A8
Discard a card for every Panic Counter Sha'a Gi has.
We're All Doomed
A7
Sha'a Gi receives 1 damage for every Panic Counter he has.
It's All Around Us
Special
Every character Sha'a Gi can attack receives 4 damage. This damage is reduced by 1 for every Panic Counter Sha'a Gi has.
4x Ahhh!
2x We Can't Face Him
2x This is the End
2x We're All Doomed
2x It's All Around Us
When playing as Sha'a Gi, it's important to maintain your composure at all times. Don't let your opponents get in your head, or you might start to make rash decisions. If you DO make a critical mis-play, don't freak out! You can recover if you just keep your cool and let your teammate help you through it. If you have a bad draw, don't rush in! Just let the talent cards come to you.
When playing against Sha'a Gi, psychology is your best weapon. No matter what character you're playing, forcefully claim that Sha'a Gi got counterpicked hard. Constantly remind the Sha'a Gi player of the dwindling time limit and act annoyed whenever he consults with his teammate. A well-timed taunt can completely shut down the Sha'a Gi player, so be on the lookout for any possible mistakes he makes and use the opportunity to insult his home state, car, or haircut!
I'm sure the Sha'a Gi deck will make a big impact when it lands on your gaming table soon!
